Yum, pie
Last night, I went with my gay buddy Will to see Waitress. Excellent movie, although don't go on an empty stomach cause the movie centers around a waitress at a pie shop and she makes all sorts of pies that are just yummy, you come out of the movie with that whole, "berry pie sounds great right now," feeling. Andy Griffith plays this odd old man who is so funny and I never realized how pretty Keri Russell is (I know this sentence ends in a preposition, but it is late and I am tired.) It is a sweet, funny movie with endearing characters.

A new step...
So, I am friends with the PB's girlfriend. she is nice and sweet and takes nothing from the man which is cool. We have lunch once a month. Today she was talking about how she is doing home improvement stuff and she said... I will get my way, with sex.
AAAAAAGGGGGGHHHHHHHH! I could not sleep yesterday, and today is out too.

Argh
The Photographer interviewed for a job at NASA and if he gets the job, they will pay for him to go the University of Wisconsin. He is living my dream. I am both excited for him and so mad at the same time. And I thought I was done with therapy.

Life
Hello world.... It has been a while, my apologies. I just got the Internet at my house so I can start regular posts now. So here is the update...
Work sorta good... I like my job, I like working with the collection, helping students, and some of my co-workers make each day great. However, since I am only an archivist and not a librarian, I do not get treated with the same level of respect as the other librarians get. Like going to school for two years so you can say "use Boolean operators to expand your search" makes them any more qualified to tell you a book or a database is shit. And when you do speak up and say a database is shit, they like it because it is "flashy." So then i get into arguments like yes it's flashy, but does it say anything. Another thing about the place is we are spending $49,000 to consult, CONSULT, with an interior designer for the library. Yet, Tuesday, I attended the librarian's meeting where we discussed canceling a couple of databases because we cannot afford the $15,000 to subscribe. WTF?
Home...I hate my apartment. The walls are so thin, I can hear the neighbor's phone ring, or them coughing, or the jackrabbit dog sex that made me almost call the cops. I understand that walls are thin in apartments, but they weren't in my old apartment. I miss that place.
Things I learned this week... I work for a place that champions mediocrity, a place that I got a degree from (does this make me mediocre?), tire guys are complete assholes, and the only person I could call to help me in the situation of a car emergency is my brother or my cousin, and this made me sad, because I really needed a hug this week and no one was around.
